Post quantum tales from the trenches

The race is on to achieve crypto agility and put post quantum systems in place by 2029. But implementations are still very new and rough around the edges. This talk will expose some of the obstacles encountered, and how they’ve been navigated. In particular, getting different implementations talking to each other correctly and hybridisation with existing elyptic curve based systems.

Biography

Chris Swan is an Engineer at Atsign, building their privacy and agentic security platform, with a focus on operations and supply chain security. He was previously a Fellow at DXC Technology where he held various CTO roles. Before that he held CTO and Director of R&D roles at Cohesive Networks, UBS, Capital SCF and Credit Suisse, where he worked on app servers, compute grids, security, mobile, cloud, networking and containers. Chris is an InfoQ Editor writing about cloud, DevOps and security, he co-hosts the Tech Debt Burndown Podcast and is a Dart Google Developer Expert (GDE).
