Guidelines for the creation of a sensor model simulation handbook
The purpose of these guidelines is to define the process and expected content of a simulation handbook for a perception sensor model. They are based on current interpretations of both draft and existing legislation relating to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS), including relevant documents from the UNECE Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles.
The objective of a simulation handbook for a sensor model is to demonstrate the credibility of the sensor model within the context of the simulator in which it is used. It is anticipated that similar technical documentation will be produced for all other elements of the simulation toolchain in order to meet overall credibility requirements.
