Women in TechWorks welcomes new DSIT Taskforce
Women in TechWorks welcomes new DSIT Taskforce
As we all look towards the Christmas break, I am very pleased to welcome from all of us at Women in Techworks, the launch of Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s Women in Tech Taskforce.
We look forward to engaging with this new initiative as it develops and becomes more established.
Women in Techworks has been developed over the past 6 months, with an official launch in October TechWorks Launches Women in TechWorks to Meet UK Tech Workforce Challenge – TECHNOLOGY RESELLER. We champion the women and companies shaping the future of technology. This Government initiative strengthens our aims, and proves how essential the work of Women in Techworks is, for our industries to be fit for the future and to attract and retain female talent; to nurture the very best workforce possible.
Women in Techworks have been actively working on three pillars; Talent Development and Mentoring, Leadership and increasing awareness and visibility. Women in Techworks will look to contribute to the conversation in these areas through engaging with the Women in Tech Taskforce.
We look forward to working with the Taskforce, sharing insights and practical solutions that not only engages Women in STEM roles but also assists them to grow into the female Tech leaders of tomorrow.
Wishing you all a good break and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year.
Best regards
Jillian Hughes
