Peter Gammon

Peter Gammon is a Professor of Power Electronic Devices at WMG, University of Warwick, where he leads a team of ten PDRFs and PhD students in the development of silicon carbide (SiC) power electronic devices. His interests include scaling up SiC technologies for applications including space, grid, renewables, and the harsh environment. A PI of several major EU and UKRI projects, Prof. Gammon currently leads the SiC activities within the REWIRE Innovation and Knowledge Centre, which seeks to further commercialise wide bandgap semiconductor devices for power electronics. He also leads the SiCSat Project, an EPSRC funded project developing radiation hard SiC devices for space. He is a former Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship holder and led the EPSRC Centre for Power Electronics: Switch Optimisation Theme. Since 2008, he has published over 150 journal and conference papers, with over 1500 citations, and is the author of three patents. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Member of the IET, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
