Recognising an early-stage deep tech company showing exceptional promise through innovative technology, a strong understanding of product-market fit and clear progress towards commercial success.

The Deep Tech Startup of the Year Award celebrates an early-stage company built around innovative technology, intellectual property, products or services, with the potential to create significant commercial or industry impact. Entrants may be pre-revenue or already generating early revenues. Judges will consider the strength and differentiation of the technology, understanding of the market opportunity, evidence of customer and market engagement, commercial progress, scalability and the quality and ambition of the team.

Which award should I enter?

Deep Tech Startup of the Year is open to early-stage technology companies across the deep-tech ecosystem. Emerging semiconductor ventures that are still progressing towards prototype development, market validation and market entry, and which are engaged in the ChipStart UK programme, are automatically considered for the Emerging Semiconductor Venture of the Year, presented by Silicon Catalyst UK.
